Welcome

Greetings from the Chihuahuan Observation Center, hereafter known as COC. Go ahead and have a laugh at the acronym; my associates and I already have, but we're adults around here, so we don't go in for that kind of juvenile humor.

Located in the Chihuahuan Desert just outside of Las Cruces, New Mexico, COC only recently came into existence for the sole purpose of making uninformed observations about a little-known corner (1.23 acres) in the lesser-known of the four great North American deserts. The somewhat qualified staff here at COC is comprised of myself, George, Chappy (short for "Chapulin" = "Grasshopper" en espanol) and Becca. The diabolical Dr. K. is sometimes on the premises, but more often than not she's away at conferences, spending our meager budget on expensive hotels, exquisite food and drink, and cheap entertainment.

So welcome to the desert, and here's hoping that you'll derive some benefit from the exhaustive and extensive observational research being conducted at this mediocre facility.
