Organs-R-Us

This hawk is one of the first sights that greeted Research Associate Becca and I as we started off on the Tortugas Mountain trail, Monte Vista side of the monolith. From its markings it appears to be a Red-tailed Hawk.
The light was fantastic as we made our way around the mountain.
Obviously, we just can't take enough photos of the Organ Mountains, resplendent in all their glory.
The intrepid explorer makes her way along a narrow trail through the desert.
Check out the purple nuances in the middle ground. "Purple nuances"?
