Tortugas's East Side


A beautiful morning greeted Research Associate Becca and I when we started off from the Monte Vista parking area. Here's a shot of one face of the lovely Tortugas Mountain.

From a distance Tortugas looks like a simply-shaped monolith, but close up you can discover its many complexities.
Any jackrabbits up there?
