Thursday on Tortugas

A respite
Beautiful morning on the Foothills and Crosscut Trails.  We did find an unfired round on the latter trail, a .22 caliber rifle long; not the kind of thing you want to think about:  shooters popping off rounds in the outback.  Unfortunately, it happens way more often than it should.  But the Tortugas Mountain Trails area is a vast expanse, too big to be patrolled efficiently by the BLM or NMSU police.
