Some sunshine in the city |
Up in the foothills |
Light rain or virga in the distance |
Evidence of heavy rains |
The rain ran in rivers all over the desert |
Waiting to head back into the mountains |
Always ready to go |
You can see all the way to El Paso once again |
Pin cushion cactus |

This rain has reshaped some of the trails in an interesting way.
Nice lighting on the pin cushion cactus.
I hope you get a real respite from the rain. That persistent stationary front just sat draped over Colorado and northern New Mexico for days. Here in the northern Piedmont we're enjoying perfect weather: low humidity, blue skies, and temperatures in the low- to mid-70s!
We're having a nice respite now, Scott, but meteorologists are saying we could get more precipitation from Hurricane Ingrid, which is about to deliver a wallop to the Gulf Coast of Texas. Sometimes that moisture will make its way to West Texas and southern New Mexico.
