Not Much of a Hump Day

Part of the city of Las Cruces
Not much of note happened on our hike this morning.  It's still pretty hot out there; we're headed for a high of 92 F.  Early on we encountered another trekker--a middle-aged woman we see fairly often.  She's very pleasant, and always says, "Good morning."  Once we reached the high foothills we were overtaken by a young jogger named Daniel, who we've talked to a time or two before.  When I say "we've talked to" I really mean me.  Becca's pretty noncommittal most of the time.

The desert is browning out. I hope we still get some rain in the next couple of weeks.
