A Mid-80s Day in March

View from LDR-A arroyo
Even though it was only 47F when we set off this morning I wore a long-sleeve shirt and hiking pants sans jacket.  Since we're headed for a high of 86F I knew it would warm quickly in the desert due to the blazing sun and lack of wind.  I was right.

We did our normal trek, and a good time was had by all.  One comical moment (for me) came while we were stopped in Left Branch Arroyo momentarily.  I took a photo, gave the Heelers each a treat, and saw--out of the corner of my eye--a cottontail emerging from a nearby bush at light speed.  Funny thing was that neither Frio nor Willow saw it.

More encounters like that, please.

This & next:  Allthorn bush
