Cutting Branches

First 2:  clouds over the Organs
Due to the Heelers' rowdy behavior this morning, Dr. K and I decided to shorten the hike today; we did so by cutting out the left and middle branches from our regular route.

Not sure what aroused Willow and Frio, but they were fixated on tracking something (dog, coyote, jackrabbit), and their determination to get onto the scent put undue strain on my arms and shoulders.

Because of their failure to back off when commanded to do so, I let them off lead for only a brief period of time in the right branch.  After a few brief stops we all made our way up and out of Right Branch Arroyo on a highly abbreviated trek.

Even though our hike was shortened, you were still able to get some good photos. I'm having a hard time deciding on my favorite one. It might be the last one, which you call the Long View.
