Has Spring Sprung?

1st 2:  Organ Mountains from LDR-A
Dr. K and I were slightly overdressed on our morning hike; Willow and Frio wore their standard outfits.

We followed our usual route, but diverted to an arroyo further west of the middle branch when I noticed a "redhead"--the emerging flower stalk of a Faxon Yucca.

After photographing the yucca we all descended the alternate arroyo and hooked up with the end of the middle branch, jogging west and then heading south up the right branch.

We saw at least one of the two people who hike with their Basset Hounds, and we heard one or more of the dogs barking, but we never had a close encounter with them.
