Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I did a short hike in the forest behind the cabin this morning before Dr. K and I drove to Cloudcroft to buy more bags of ice from Allsup's. We bought ice yesterday afternoon after discovering that our refrigerator here had died.
We ordered a new one from Lowe's in Alamogordo, and it's supposed to be delivered sometime tomorrow. In the meantime we're trying to save as much of the food we brought up here as we can.
Today's trek was a welcomed respite from the refrigerator blues.
