Three for Wednesday's Trek

Jackrabbit ears
Willow, Frio and I did our regular hike this morning, and, with the exception of a jackrabbit and quite a few House Finches, we saw no one else out in the desert.

It was 57F when we set off--much cooler than it's been in a long time.  We enjoyed the change of weather.

Despite the cool down we took several shade and water breaks, both Frio and Willow enjoying the respites while drinking plentifully of the liquid refreshment.

Interesting photo of the half-eaten Barrel cactus fruit. A lot black seeds for critters to feast on.
