Pleasant Valley Sunday--Not

This & next:  cloud over the mountains
It was quite warm out there when Dr. K, Willow and I started our hike this morning; it got progressively warmer as we did our regular route.  We saw the Basset woman and her hounds descending LDR and, eventually, bushwhacking westward through the desert while we were heading up the left branch arroyo.  After our trek we drove over to the sunset side of the Tortugas Mountain Recreation Area to see the land where the university's PSL buildings and towers had been removed; there's still a lot of debris to be picked up, but it's a completely different space now.  I wonder what plans NMSU has for it.

This & next:  Willow in the shadow of our favorite yucca
