Out of Monte Vista

Dr. K, Becca and I did an especially long hike this morning, starting out from the Monte Vista trailhead on the east side of Tortugas Mountain.  We hiked around the south side and over to the far west side before turning around to retrace our steps.  We saw four mountain bikers and one woman jogger during our trek.  Weather conditions were pretty brutal:  hot with an intermittent wind.  It felt good to get a lot of exercise, though, and we had a lot of fun on our Sunday morning jaunt.
