Really Hot Morning Hike

Crowded section of the desert
It was extremely hot when Becca and I set off around Tortoise Mountain (Tortugas), and a breeze didn't pick up until 2/3 of the way through.  Then it got a little gusty, and the evaporative cooling kicked in.  A few other hikers had ventured into the desert, though we didn't encounter any.  We did a good long hike with several extended water breaks.  All in all a good morning trek.
