Generally on May 15th in the Chihuahuan Desert it's not quite as cool and overcast as it was this morning. Add a chilling breeze and it felt very much like early March. I'm not complaining, though, as the hot weather is almost here. In fact, we're supposed to reach 90 F today. That means I'll be firing up the evaporative cooler in an hour or so. I've already used the bleeder-line runoff to water our Red Yucca yesterday, and I plan on watering our Cane Cholla today.

Unusually cool weather for mid-May.
