Cranking up the Heat

The high foothills trail
It was plenty hot out in the northern Chihuahuan Desert this morning, and there were many pesky flies out to exacerbate the hot weather.  We're heading for a high of 97 F (36 C) today, and 100 F tomorrow.  Nevertheless, there were quite a few people on and around the mountain, including one guy jogging who we bumped into on the high foothills trail coming back.  Becca, as usual, was very well behaved, crouching in her "herding" posture at the side of the trail until the young man had passed by.
