Another Sub-Freezing Night

Sinuous
Becca and I hit the trail west of Tortugas Mountain at 8 this morning, and we did a longer hike along the west side and up into the high foothills; then we climbed to the road and followed it back.  We saw a few vehicles in the parking lot (both coming and going), but there weren't many outdoor enthusiasts today--perhaps because of the cold temps.  The meteorologist on KTSM said we were dipping to a low of 19F, and we hit 18F the night before.  Pretty darned cold for the desert, although the Chihuahuan is a high desert that can get pretty chilly during the wintertime.  Today's redeeming feature was the brilliant sunshine, which kept both Becca and me warm enough.
