Before the Snowfall?

Dr. K and the Heelers
Long hike to Second Arroyo on a very pleasant morning, where we stopped for a drink and to take a few photos.  On the way out and back we saw the man and woman joggers we often see on a Saturday.

On the way back up LDR we saw a man and woman descending in our direction.  We decided to bushwhack across to LDR-A to avoid them.  We suspected they might be Mr. and Mrs. Big Hat, a suspicion that was confirmed when we got back to our vehicle and noticed their SUV parked on the south side of the road.

We aborted our normal Saturday after-hike drive because we were distracted by breaking news from the impeachment trial of Donald Trump, and we wanted to get home to watch the events on television.

I like the photos of the yucca stalk with the dried pods. Only in the desert would you see such an interesting sight.
