Hot and Humid Sunday

Despite the discomfort from the weather, Dr. K, Becca and I did a long hike around the Tortugas Mountain footfhills.  Because the sun shone fully this morning the heat index was higher, and fewer people had ventured out to the desert.  We saw only a a small number of hikers and mountain bikers during our long trek. Even the wildlife was smarter than us, staying out of the blazing sun.

Our walk this morning took place under cloudy skies with temperatures in the low 80s--a far cry from the 100 degrees and blazing sun of yesterday.
