Claret Cup Cactus in bloom

Although there were many people climbing the mountain this morning, we only ran into a few in the outback:  one mountain biker and one jogger.  The weather was absolutely wonderful, and I removed my light jacket a short way into the hike.  Becca really toughed it out, keeping all her fur on for the entire trek.  More Claret Cup Cacti are blooming now, and soon the Ocotillo buds will erupt into orange-red flame flowers.
