Midweek Trek

39 F when we set off this tomorrow.  Two good factors ameliorated the cold, however:  no wind, and an abundance of sun.  We spotted another hiker and his dog in the far outback at around the midway point of our hike.  He had his SUV parked off of one of the dirt roads, and we watched while he piloted his chariot along the road pictured in the fifth image here.  We ran into Greg when we were about a mile from the trailhead, and he and I talked about how President Obama has changes to Social Security in his budget while Becca tried to catch flies.
