A Total Drenching

The helmet (right hip) tells me this guy is a hang glider
Yesterday afternoon a cloud burst open right over our house and the rain came down in a deluge, creating a serious leak in our patio enclosure.  So, for the fifth or sixth time I will have to try to seal the seam where the patio roof abuts against the back porch overhang--or finally break down and have a professional do the job.  If you want an idea of how the rain was flowing during the storm, check out this video from the Las Cruces Sun-News website; it's of the arroyo Becca and I drive over every day to get to Tortugas Mountain.  It's the first video below the story:  http://www.lcsun-news.com/las_cruces-news/ci_26583671/weather-most-part-las-cruces-has-been-spared
Clouds and high humidity still hanging around

As the saying goes, when it rains, it pours. At least here in the desert.

We're supposed to get a lot of rain from a slow-mowing system starting after midnight on Wednesday. I hope we get some decent precipitation, but not a deluge; it's very dry here.
