Yet Another Dynamic Day

The weather at start
What dynamic weather Becca and I encountered on our morning jaunt west of Tortugas Mountain.  At times it looked as if it might rain; at other times we got a brief spell of sunshine.  Most of the time, though, it was partly cloudy with strong winds creating a kaleidoscopic sky.  Surprisingly there were quite a few other outdoor enthusiasts on the mountain, but we saw nobody in the outback.  As always we were on the lookout for Coyotes, but we didn't see or hear any.
Watching yuccas and clouds

What a sky!

Wind shifting clouds about

Becca hurrying ahead on the foothills trail

Stopping short of descending into a gully

Sun trying to break through a rip in the clouds

Something Biblical is about to go down

Ominously beautiful

Looking south toward the Organ Mountains

The real bushwhacking starts now

Clouds like mountains on mountains

Clouds rolling down onto the Organs

Can't beat a windy, partly-cloudy day

Amazing what you might find in the middle of nowhere

The weather sure was changeable this morning

A little blue sky atop that last scene

My favorite Torrey Yucca

Getting a little sunshine as we cross through this arroyo

You can see last spring's new growth on Ocotillo wands (purplish areas)

The sun is back there somewhere

Closer search for the sun
