Almost in the Saddle

Shorty
I took Becca for a a bit longer hike than Dr. K and I went on with her yesterday.  This morning Becca and I trekked up the narrow trail alongside the western arroyo, climbed up past the old dilapidated shack, and then headed down the mountain road to the gate where another trail returns to the Sunset Area.  Even though it was windy and cold this morning we did see a few other adventurous souls braving the elements.  I sported a hooded coat and gloves for the weather conditions and never lowered the hood nor removed the gloves during our entire outing.  Becca was pretty energetic, forging ahead of me on the final leg of the hike.  She generally finds cold weather rather invigorating.
