Christmas Eve Trek

Christmas Eve moon
Becca and I got an early start on this morning's Christmas Eve trek, and we kept the hike relatively short because we had to get back home soon.  The reason we had to return early was a planned shopping trip to Target and Alberstsons with Dr. K.  We knew it would be crowded out there on the day before Christmas and we wanted to get in and out of both places before they got too packed.  We did all right, though leaving afterward proved to be something of a dilemma; these crowded marketplaces in plazas just aren't designed for easy entering and exiting.  We had to maneuver around on roads we hadn't traveled before in order to get out without wasting excess minutes.
I have never seen a Torrey Yucca blooming this late in December

This is crazy

Can't decide if I like this image better in color . . .
