A Little Rough

Willow and Frio in Second Arroyo
Two encounters made this morning's trek a bit difficult:  a lady we see fairly often running with her two dogs was running with only one dog--the bigger one--and they were heading north on LDR while we were heading south.  I took Willow and Frio quite a way off the road, but Willow was still as feisty as ever, pulling hard to get at the lady's dog.  She (the lady) thanked us for moving aside.

Then, when we had almost crested the steep section of LDR leading to the upper flatland, a guy driving a beat-up white Jeep was headed the way we were.  I had to take the Heelers off the road in a narrow area to let the vehicle pass.  I noticed the guy's Jeep had no hood.  He passed us slowly and waved to me.  Both Willow and Frio seemed irate about the incident, and they wanted to let the driver know; but I held them back.

That was our excellent adventure as we trekked up to Second Arroyo, crossed over into First Arroyo and hiked back today.
