A Little Extra Something

Early morning sky at our place
Because of yesterday's severely abbreviated hike I added quite a bit more distance to this morning's trek.  Both Heelers approved of the move.

Even after doing a normal exploration--down the LDR-A arroyo, across to Left Branch and Right Branch Arroyos--we climbed out of the latter and strolled along the upper flatland road toward our regular parking spot and back.

The weather for two-thirds of our outing was rather chilly, but the sun finally put in a bolder appearance and warmed things up.  Heelers were not bothered by the conditions, though, concentrating solely on smells and sights in our section of northern Chihuahuan Desert.

Beautiful photos, Packrat. I really like the two of the Organ Mountains, and also the ones you called Two Views from LDR-A. And the photos of the Heelers are so cute.
