Broiled Hikers

First 3:  Ocotillos and clouds
Hot as hell out there for us this morning; barely a whisper of a breeze.  Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I did our regular hike, and, frankly, couldn't wait to get it over.

No animal or humanimal encounters today--always a good thing.

We're headed for 97F this afternoon, with even hotter temps on the near horizon.  Heard our local meteorologist say last night that rain chances might be possible for next week.  God, let's hope we get precip.

This & next 2:  new Soaptree Yucca flower stalks

Mesquite and the mountains

This & next:  long view to Tortugas

The rest: an agave (Neomexicana?) in a neighboring yard
