Blooming Desert

1st 2:  Desert Cardinal eating ocotillo flowers
We did quite a bit of bushwhacking from the left branch arroyo this morning, and I took a lot of photos--some good, some bad.

The weather for the trek was kind of perfect:  low 60s with sun and very little wind.  We were out there for some time, only spotting black side-by-side man and his white dog when we were ascending the right branch arroyo.  He had driven west along the Tellbrook Arroyo and parked in a place that let him and his dog explore to the north.

The three of us enjoyed the outing today, especially Willow who loves getting out into the desert.
