Back to Chilly

Western flank of Tortugas Mountain
Temperature dropped to 47F last night, and it was noticeably chillier this morning when Dr. K, Willow and I did the daily hike.  We saw the Basset people and their hounds descending the hill east of LDR-A arroyo when we were heading toward the mountains on the east/west cross trail.  No close encounters.  When we crested the steep hill west of the right branch arroyo we saw the two men we often see hiking along the upper flatland road; they had a younger woman with them.  We all waved to each other--everyone except Willow, of course.
