Better Bird Day

Prickly pear and shadow
Dr. K, Willow and I had a very nice hike in our section of northern Chihuahuan Desert this morning.  While we were out there we saw the Basset people and their hounds bushwhacking through the desert far to the north of us; they were in an area we've never seen them in before.  Best part of today's outing:  getting some better photos of our native birds.  Took a long drive after the trek.
