Hello Deer

Doe with lemur(?) butt
Willow and I encountered a herd of mule deer during her morning constitutional; there were three or four young bucks and several does we could see.  More deer were up in the forest above our road; we could hear them, but not spot them.  Because of our encounter I kept Willow on lead with her harness when she, Dr. K and I got started on our morning trek.  I had a feeling we might kick that herd up a while later when we approached the top of the "mountain" behind our cabin; and sure enough we did.  I think if Willow had been loose she'd have taken off after the deer.  We had a nice hike today.  Afterward I worked around our property, mowing half of the grass and weeds on our road and in our driveway.
