Another Sign of Spring

Peekaboo
Funny encounter this morning.  Two women who were headed to the top of the mountain with their gray Schnauzer were gabbing away while the dog approached Becca, who was heeling beside me.  The women were completely oblivious until I said, "Is your dog okay?"  Then one of them looked over, distracted, and said, "Yeah, he's okay."  They went on walking and gabbing until they realized their dog was not following.  They had to call it repeatedly before he joined them.  Then I heard one of them say to him, "Just who do you think you are?"
Why they're called "Black-Tailed Jackrabbits"

Is this my best side?

The rabbit was soooo cute!

Just before my father-in-law died, he paid for his whole extended family to spend a few days in Las Vegas. During our visit, one day we drove out to Zion National Park, a long but very nice drive through desert and canyons. During the entire trip, my mother-and-law and her sister sat in the back seat of the van and jabbered, jabbered, jabbered away, oblivious to the scenery. Zion...huh? Some people just just don't get it!

I love looking at your photos of the desert. And the ones of the jack rabbit are great!

Hadn't noticed the cross until you mentioned it, Ruby.

Scott: Personally, I hate hiking with anybody who wants to talk more than look.

Dr. K: Remember when we ate yucca flowers because we learned that the Apache Tribe loved them?
