Quick High Country Trip

Ms. Happy Hiker
Becca and I cut our morning hike short so we could return home in a timely fashion and finish packing for a quick weekend trip to our place in the high country.  We were a little worried about what weather conditions would be like up here, but there was only a trace of the big snow that fell on December 28th.  Everything is incredibly muddy, though, as you might guess from the image of our Jeep tire below.  That's not likely to change until there's abundant sunshine here.  We've got a few things to take care of around our property, including reading the water meter so we can provide our quarterly report to the State Engineer's Office.  We plan to get in a few hikes as well.

I really like "Raindrops on Juniper." It's good to be up here in the high country, even for a short trip.
