Give Us a Second

Grassy and weedy from the rain
Pretty hot and humid this morning as Willow, Frio and I made our way up to Second Arroyo.  We stopped in for water and a shade break, but we had to leave our regular spot due to an invasion of ants and White-lined Sphinx Moth caterpillars.

Willow latched onto a scent early and pulled quite a bit today; she earned a C for her misbehavior.  Frio scored an A- for his demeanor.  Saw a few critters out there during our exploration, but mostly it was still a plethora of White-lined Sphinx Moth larvae.  Still dodging them nearly everywhere.

Some type of road construction is going on in the Noche Bella Loop neighborhood we drive through to get to Tellbrook, so I'm going to have to access the road another way.

I like your last photo that really shows how greened out the desert is right now. Pretty amazing.
