Another Heater

First 2:  Verdin on Ocotillo
Another scorcher out there this morning as Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I did our daily hike.  Fortunately a wind--albeit a warm one--blew most of the time.  Humidity was fairly high, though.  I think we have about a 30% chance of rain this afternoon.

The Barrel Cacti are blooming now, adding a splash of brilliant color to our section of northern Chihuahuan Desert.

Tortugas and the Organs We got a fairly early start this morning so it wasn't hot at all:  62F.  The cloud cover helped the temperature ...
