After the Big Wind

1st 4:  awesome 10' Torrey Yucca blooming
Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I did our usual hike this morning and we were quite cold due to the cold front that blew in yesterday on the tail end of powerful winds.  When we got up this morning it was 30F, two degrees below freezing.

Although a decently strong wind was still blowing when we got started today the sun was shining brightly.  Some good physical exertion raised body temps and we all warmed up quite nicely by the time we headed up the right branch arroyo.

We saw no one else braving the elements while we were out in our section of the northern Chihuahuan Desert.
