Fireworks Courtesy of Nature

Haynes Canyon
Plenty of fireworks here in the Sacramento Mountains last night, but not of the human variety.  Lots of thunder, lightning and heavy rain; very beneficial, but not without a negative consequence:  mud!

We had to use the Paw Plunger to get the red dirt mud off Frio's paws this morning after he went out into the front yard to do his business.  Willow was smart enough to stay in the grass to take a whiz.

We did a short hike in the forest around our property staying primarily on the rocks and slopes where the black dirt mud wasn't pervasive; by so doing we avoided have to plunge dog paws when we got back to the cabin later.
