Another Thursday Trek

Tortugas and Organs
Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I did an early morning hike today and the weather was quite bearable even though the wind threatened to ruin the expedition; however, it never gusted to more than a breeze.

We followed our usual route, but decided to climb the steep hill to the east of the upper reaches of the left branch arroyo.  There we encountered the Kokopelli yucca pictured below.

We saw the Basset people and their hounds bushwhacking in the desert far to the west of us.  We knew from the old Toyota truck parked on the upper flatland road that a guy and his dogs were out there, but we never saw them.
