Saturday's Bushwhack

Willow and Frio exploring LDR-A arroyo
For no particular reason we decided to do a long bushwhack this morning.  Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I left the left branch arroyo well below the ancient yucca and headed east toward the Organs.

We bypassed the hill we often climb to the north and struck into the desert to the east of it.  After hiking well beyond the huge old yucca we circled back to it before heading to the saddle just south of the hill.

Heading north we climbed the hill, spotted the ancient yucca, descended the hill and looped back to the left branch arroyo exactly at the place where the ancient yucca stands.

From there we finished our usual hike, and everybody involved was happy with our excursion.
