Sunday Bushwhack

LDR-A
This morning the four of us hiked down LDR-A to the Tellbrook Arroyo, turned west toward the Organ Mountains and then began bushwhacking about thirty yards from the road.

We followed open areas we've trekked through before, heading into the hills north of the arroyo and catching the trail we did yesterday--this time reversing our route and descending into First Arroyo, where we stopped for a brief water break.  Afterward we struck west to LDR and followed it south back into the high flatland.

Along the way we saw two hikers up on the southernmost dirt road and a runner who passed us coming and going along LDR.

Those are nice photos of the Red-tailed hawk. Such interesting markings on its back.
