32F Start, 47F Finish

Small mesquite in all its branchiness
It was freezing when the four of us started off this morning, but the sun shone brightly and the wind was nonexistent.  That made the hike up to First Arroyo and back quite pleasant; in fact, Dr. K and I even felt a little hot while climbing LDR into the upper flatland on the final leg of our trek.

Although there were five vehicles parked in the lot at the corner of Tellbrook and Sonoma Ranch Road we saw nobody in our section of the northern Chihuahuan Desert today.

Great photos of Willow's and Frio's faces. They should be in the movies!
