Awfully Cold

This and the next:  entering the national monument
23F (felt like 18F) with a wicked wind when we started off this morning.  It became apparent immediately that we wouldn't be able to do a normal hike; it was just too brutally cold.  So we hiked down to the Tellbrook Arroyo, turned around and headed back the way we'd just come.

So after trekking less than a half hour we decided to drive out to the national monument where I could take some photos of the beautiful Organ Mountains.  Drove home afterward, getting there about 9.  The outing was pretty unsatisfactory, but there's no point suffering the elements if you can't enjoy being outdoors.

The rest are the Organ Mountains and La Cueva Rocks
