How Cute Are We?

Quite a few really "cute" creatures like to frequent the watering hole at COC (Chihuahuan Observation Center, Lizard!), and I like to spend time photographing them. The Desert Cottontail is one of my favorites, epitomizing as it does the very essence of cute-ositude. Just look at those black-button eyes; don't they make you want to run out and buy a chocolate rabbit to consume?
And what about the Quail family?--Dan, Marilyn and offspring. This group was caught on the run so the photo is definitely C quality. But, boy, can those babies move. The little ones--no bigger than a shelled Planters peanut--have little trouble keeping up with the track-star adults.

I hope you can get another shot of the bunny with split ear so we know she (or he) is OK. Perhaps this bunny is a cousin.
