What are the chances?

The "O"s and I got quite a break this morning as the sky was cloudy/overcast for most of our trek. The sun did break out on occasion to heat us up, but a nice, steady breeze ameliorated the sunshine.
We did our normal route encountering some special critters along the way: Ladder-backed Woodpecker; Curve-billed Thrasher; Sonoran Gopher Snake; and Swainsy the Swainson's Hawk. I got pretty good images of all.
It's possible we hit the century mark again today. We just can't seem to break out of this persistent heatwave.

Terrific photos of the Ladder-backed Woodpecker. I like the red mohawk.
