Friday's Fried Eggs

Small Barrel Cactus with blossoming bud
It was blazing hot when Willow, Frio and I started our morning hike today, and it remained that way throughout.  At one moment the slightest of breezes picked up, but it dissipated in a few seconds.

We did our usual route, stopping at the usual shady spots for water and a break.  The "O"s did not turn down the chance to drink.

We didn't see anybody else hazarding the sizzling weather while we were out there.  Forecasters say we may be headed for another record high temperature today.

Nice photo of the Prickly Pear fruit. I don't know how you can take such good photos when the weather is so brutal.
