Extreme Steam

Just getting started
It sprinkled this morning which left the air fairly saturated with moisture.  We knew almost immediately when we started our hike that we'd have to cut it short due to the stifling conditions.

We did just that, heading up the right branch arroyo instead of the left, and, thereby, truncating the trek in half.  Neither the Heelers, Dr. K nor I felt cheated by the abbreviated outing.

We made up for it by taking a short drive afterward, reveling in the air-conditioned coolness inside the CR-V.
