Nonsoon Weather

Tortugas and the Organs
We've got high humidity, plenty of unrelenting sunshine, but no rain.  Those are the conditions Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I experienced during our trek this morning.

While we were headed up the left branch arroyo Dr. K spotted a Swainson's Hawk perched on a downed yucca trunk, and I was able to get some decent photos of it.

We saw other interesting birds and bees during the outing, but, fortunately, no close encounters with Tarantula Hawks like we had the other day.
