Forced Bushwhack

1st 3:  the direction we bushwhacked
Just as we exited the CR-V at the trailhead this morning it was evident other dogs were near; Willow was losing her mind.  Sure enough as soon as we started down LDR-A we spotted the Basset people and their hounds not far ahead.

Unwilling to cope with the "O"s unhinged behavior we decided to descend the steep hill into Right Branch Arroyo and then bushwhack up the steep hill on the east side.  From there we were exploring uncharted territory for us, though we managed to strike straight across the desert to the upper reaches of Middle Branch Arroyo.

In order to hike as far (or more) than our usual trek we descended the left branch, came back up the middle, headed down the left branch to a spot from which we bushwhacked eastward yet again.  We headed north for a while, and then west to the lower section of the left branch.  We hiked it to the junction with the right and then ascended the right branch until we exited the arroyo up the steep hill to the west.  Quite the outing considering we were planning on doing our usual route today.
