Truncated Trek

Heelers on lead
It was so hot out there this morning that I decided almost immediately that we'd cut the hike short.  We descended LDR-A arroyo, turned toward the mountains on the east/west cross trail and then started up the left branch arroyo.

But when we reached the junction with the right branch we headed up that way.  Amusingly, Willow had already decided we'd take that branch.

We stopped only once for water, but made several shade breaks.  Back at the car I gave Frio and Willow more water, a few treats, and then we took off on a short ride in order to listen to Matt and Myron's Sunday Morning show.  Both Heelers love that program.  :)
